Barca fought off strong competition from Italian side Roma to sign Malcom on the 24th of July 2018, Spanish club Barcelona announced the signing of Malcom on a 5 year contract for the transfer fee of €41 million plus an additional €1 million in bonuses. Corinthians received 2.5% of the fee.
